Our impact has grown significantly in recent years. We have developed innovative strategies and programs, litigated groundbreaking cases, and built a reputation as a leading hub for civil rights advocacy. To harness this momentum—and in anticipation of our 50th Anniversary celebration—we undertook a comprehensive strategic planning, branding, and messaging process focused on strengthening our identity, more effectively articulating what we do, and better engaging our constituents. Dozens of stakeholders contributed to this effort, helping to shape a more striking and memorable vision of who we are and what we are achieving.
We are excited and proud to announce that the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice is now Lawyers for Civil Rights.
Our new name, visual identity, and website reaffirm this organization’s commitment to its founding principles while reflecting our ability to adapt to new challenges—now and in the future. By streamlining our name, adopting a bold graphic mark, and relaunching our website, we will make it even easier for community members to reach us and to recognize our work and impact. And by communicating in a way that is visually and verbally consistent, we will strengthen our connection to current allies and engage new partners who believe, as we do, in the fundamental tenets of our democracy: diversity, fairness, justice, and lived equality.
