We are proud to announce that our Economic Justice Project is now LCR | BizGrow.
Growing wealth in historically disadvantaged communities is a critical civil rights issue. For nearly 20 years, we have helped close the wealth gap by fueling equitable economic growth and providing free legal support to thousands of small businesses. This work is vital, especially at a time when the median wealth for minority households is close to zero, and less than 1% of municipal contracts in Boston are awarded to women or small business owners of color.
As challenges evolve, we must evolve too. Our approach must change to meet emerging needs and to remain at the forefront of supporting entrepreneurship to close the wealth gap. That’s why we are streamlining the name of our Economic Justice Project, adopting a new bold graphic mark, and relaunching our small business website.
New Name, Same Economic Justice Mission.
LCR | BizGrow will provide free legal assistance, business support, and technical assistance to minority, immigrant, and women business owners—ensuring they encounter fewer obstacles and more opportunities. Our programs include free legal representation, technical assistance, and workshops for small business owners on entity formation, contracts, taxes, leases, intellectual property, cannabis, and launching green businesses.
The small business owners we support have big dreams, but limited resources. From family-owned restaurants to green economy startups, they play an important role in our communities—helping individuals achieve self-sufficiency, creating jobs, and contributing to the vibrancy of our Commonwealth.
Growing a business takes courage, creativity, and commitment. With our support, local business owners can put down firm roots based on sound advice—and thrive.
This is business law for the public good.
This is economic justice in action.
