Five Latina Kitchen Workers File Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against Prominent National Restaurant Chain

In the flood of recent stories of sexual misconduct in white-collar industries, it is easy to overlook the most vulnerable women.

Today at noon, the Lawyers’ Committee will announce a new sexual harassment lawsuit against a prominent national restaurant chain, highlighting the plight of women workers in precarious, low-wage positions such as dishwashers, cleaners and prep cooks.

As Sophia Hall, our legal warrior representing these courageous women said: “This is exactly what the larger movement needs to encompass and reflect: women of color, immigrant women, and working class women.”

Our lawsuit, brought in close partnership with Fair Work, P.C., involves a workplace filled with lewd behavior, sexually inappropriate comments, and unwanted touching. No one should live or work with these recurring indignities and assaults.

The only way we can fight and win is with you by our side. Help us transform this harrowing experience into justice. Support our work today!
