The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), a national association of lawyers, judges, law students, activists, and legal organizations, held its 40th annual convention in Boston in September 2015. LCCR’s Executive Director Iván Espinoza-Madrigal conducted a voting rights workshop at this national conference. His presentation explained how marginalized people are disenfranchised, and the work being done to address these problems, including LCCR’s recent litigation, NAACP v. Galvin, where we helped to create voter registration opportunities in government agencies for public assistance recipients.
