COMMUNITY FORUM ON HOUSING
The Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice, the Latin Herald Newspaper, the East Boston Ecumenical Community Council, City Life/Vida Urbana, and the East Boston Open Discussion hosted a Community Forum on Housing in the East Boston Social Center located at 68 Central Square in East Boston.
The forum focused on the displacement and eviction of local tenants, particularly in minority and immigrant communities in Boston. Local residents, business owners, and small landlords participated in the forum. Participants had an opportunity to express their perspectives to elected officials and representatives from the City of Boston and the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
