Lawyers for Civil Rights supports the passage of Amendment 41, “Fairness for Agricultural Laborers,” to ensure that farmworkers in Massachusetts receive fair wages, overtime pay, and other basic workplace protections.
A key element of the amendment is compensation beyond the minimum wage—an essential intervention to help stabilize the labor market as vulnerabilities deepen across economic sectors. These protections are especially critical as the labor pool grows more scarce, placing added strain on the economy.
