Introducing: BizGrow Central

Lawyers for Civil Rights (LCR) is excited to announce the creation of BizGrow Central, a collaborative space where new and established small business owners will be able to learn together, access vital resources, and develop the skills and resilience they need to thrive.

Centrally located in downtown Boston and set to open in 2025, BizGrow Central will offer a range of programs and services—from legal advice and mentorship to networking opportunities—in a welcoming space designed to meet business owners’ needs. We are giving small business owners the time, space, and tools to realize their dreams. 

BizGrow Central will expand the range of services offered through LCR’s popular BizGrow program, which has helped thousands of entrepreneurs launch and grow successful ventures.

• With a focus on women and entrepreneurs of color, the new center will help aspiring business owners navigate the legal, logistical, bureaucratic, and language barriers often associated with launching a business.
• Workshops, one-on-one appointments, and drop-in sessions will give participants opportunities to learn about a range of topics—from contracts to marketing—along with access to state-of-the-art tools such as high-speed internet and color printers.
• Dedicated meeting spaces will give entrepreneurs time and space to strategize, plan, collaborate, and network with diverse business owners from throughout the region.

BizGrow Central will create tremendous benefits for small businesses and our regional economy. Face-to-face connections help owners benefit from the experiences and perspectives of other entrepreneurs. The hub will support efforts to revitalize commercial districts hit hard by the pandemic through active engagement of dynamic new businesses owned by women and people of color. BizGrow Central also advances LCR’s mission to bridge wealth and equity gaps through advocacy and support services that help level the playing field and strengthen under-resourced communities.
