10th Annual BizGrow Conference Brings Together More Than 400 Participants to Empower Small Businesses

Lawyers for Civil Rights (LCR), in collaboration with nearly two dozen Boston law firms, corporate partners, and community organizations, is hosting the 10th Annual BizGrow Conference, a free, day-long event providing legal consultations, business advising, and technical assistance to entrepreneurs and small businesses. The conference is taking place on July 23, 2026, at Suffolk University Law School from 10 AM to 4 PM.

More than 420 entrepreneurs, attorneys, business professionals, and community partners registered for this year’s milestone conference, which will connect over 250 small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with more than 200 volunteer attorneys and business experts providing free, high-impact legal and technical support.

Volunteer attorneys from nearly two dozen Boston law firms are offering one-on-one consultations on legal issues critical to starting, growing, and sustaining successful businesses. Throughout the day, participants can also attend more than a dozen educational workshops covering topics including contracts, intellectual property, access to capital, financing, digital marketing, artificial intelligence, government procurement, and other practical tools for business success.

“Entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful pathways to economic mobility,” said Ivan Espinoza-Madrigal, Executive Director of Lawyers for Civil Rights. “One of the most effective civil rights strategies is helping people build something they own—their own business, their own future, and generational wealth. By connecting entrepreneurs with free legal services, trusted advisors, and practical business expertise, the BizGrow Conference helps expand opportunity, strengthen neighborhoods, and build a more inclusive economy.”

“Too often, entrepreneurs with great ideas lack access to the legal and technical resources they need to succeed,” said Priya Lane, BizGrow Director at Lawyers for Civil Rights. “The BizGrow Conference helps level the playing field by providing free legal guidance, business expertise, and meaningful connections that can help launch businesses, create jobs, and strengthen communities.”

This year’s conference marks the 10th anniversary of BizGrow’s flagship event. Inspired by the idea of transforming a major civic space into a one-day hub for pro bono service, what began as a single gathering has grown into one of New England’s largest annual convenings dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs through free legal assistance, business advising, and technical support.

Since its launch, the BizGrow Conference has expanded beyond Boston to Worcester and Springfield, bringing free legal and business assistance to entrepreneurs across Massachusetts.

In October, LCR will also open BizGrow Central, a first-of-its-kind entrepreneurship hub at 141 Tremont Street, directly across from Boston Common. The only physical hub of its kind in Greater Boston, BizGrow Central will provide free legal services, business advising, mentorship, technology, workspace, training, and networking opportunities under one roof, helping more than 2,000 entrepreneurs each year launch, grow, and sustain successful businesses while advancing wealth-building, inclusive economic development, and the continued revitalization of downtown Boston.

BizGrow is a signature initiative of Lawyers for Civil Rights that combines free legal services, business advising, technical assistance, and educational programming to help entrepreneurs start, sustain, and grow successful businesses.

For more than 25 years, LCR has helped thousands of entrepreneurs overcome legal barriers, build successful businesses, and create economic opportunity in their communities. Today, BizGrow supports more than 2,000 small businesses annually through legal clinics, workshops, direct representation, technical assistance, and strategic partnerships.

The 10th Annual BizGrow Conference is free and open to the public, taking place at Suffolk University Law School, 120 Tremont Street, Boston.
